EIGHT THINGS I AM MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT 

1.       WRITING- it’s something like an outlet for my thoughts and expression. Something that takes me into a different world, which I so love.

2.       NOT WAKING UP EARLY MORNING- no, this one thing I can’t afford to do, it’s against my philosophy of life, I hate it, when I HAVE to, but I compensate that on weekends, I wake up at 4 in the evening, hee haw.

3.       BOOKS- a typical book worm, I swear by books, they were my first love, I still remember how I used to gobble up the Tintins’, the hardy boys, the three investigators and now blah blah blah…

4.        NIGHTS – they never cease to amaze me.

5.       MY COUNTRY – we INDIANS can criticize our country, but when someone else says it, my blood literally starts boiling.   

6.       MY CITY – Kolkata, I consider myself as a hardcore bong, but not a typical one.  I miss those slow tram journeys, Lindsay Street, new empire cinema, the literary culture, everything about that city. And darn I am going to miss this year durga puja’s too.

7.       THE SEAS – 7 out of 10 of my poems has that in them.

8.       MY ALTER EGO – she exists somewhere in this place; I won’t delve into the topic much.

EIGHT THINGS I LOVE MOST

1.       I love long train journeys, plugging on my music player, leafing through a book, life can’t be more perfect.

2.       I love talking to my solitude, imagining it to be anything from pet dogs to Pervez Mushaaraf. J

3.       I love singing bathroom songs, and taking looong baths.

4.       I love it when its day 1 of the month, and stare at my not-so-feeble bank balance, and indulge all my sins.

5.       I love it when I take my first puff of smoke along with the morning sun. (somebody’s gonna kill me, ahem)

6.       I love it listening to certain people, whether they talk sense or not. 

7.       I love it when it rains like hell, blinding everything and I sit by the window, and kishor da sings for me “mera jeevan kora kagaaz…”

8.       I love it when I call my mom, so far away. J

EIGHT THINGS I HATE THE MOST

1.       Show offs, are a total turn off for me, I might not ever talk to that person again.

2.       I hate it when people don’t give the sinner a second chance.

3.       I hate hypocrites, people who talk something in front of you, and some other things behind your back.

4.       I hate summers.

5.       I hate it when they Kannada movies in long distance Volvo buses, I literally want to scream my lungs and kidneys and hearts off.

6.       I hate it we have cigarettes but no match sticks; this is a smokers’ nightmare. Once we were stuck like this the entire night in hostel, in my engineering. 

7.       I hate it when I suffer from writer’s block-shlock.

8.       I hate a negative attitude in people, the most, affects me too. And I hate myself for that.
