Sujoy I agree, to ur points, but when you look at the phenomemal rise of the aussie cricket, the player has never been greater than the country's interests. Infact Steve waugh at the end of his career was still scoring runs, yet he wasnt allowed to play for the national team. his place was axed, and his dream to beat india in india remained half full. If u take Gilly, he was fighting fit, when he retired from international cricket, take Mc grath, he too followed the same priciple. As far as my understanding in cricket goes that, Dhoni is trying to build up a young i.e, below 30 indian brigade, its a long term plan.maybe true results will come after 2-3 yrs... when these players get used to ... the feel of the internatioal cricket.
I agree to the fact that sourav has always been controversy 's favorite child in indian cricket, he has been targetted often, due his dominant ways, but that's the way it is.
Its time to move on from dada to maybe a wriddhiman saha, or a debarata das.. :)
